The City of Elgin is excited to celebrate the Fourth of July with a parade, concert and fireworks. This year's theme is "There is No Place Like Home" in conjunction with the Gail Borden Public Library's summer reading program.
The parade will kick off at 9a.m. on Slade and Douglas street, and end in front of Elgin City Hall. It will feature various forms of entertainment to enjoy.
Food trucks suited for various tastes will be parked on Grove street (adjacent to Festival Park) starting at 4:00 PM.
The concert will occur at Festival Park (132 S Grove Ave, Elgin, IL 60120) and begin at 7PM. Viewers will enjoy musical entertainment provided by The Modern Day Romeos.
This all-day event will end with a vibrant fireworks show beginning at approximately 9:20 PM.
