Larry Bond is an accomplished artist whose work spans various painting and drawing mediums, though his deepest passion lies in watercolor. His artistic journey has earned him numerous accolades, including awards from juried exhibitions at The Next Picture Show in Dixon, IL, the Norris Gallery in St. Charles, IL, and the Illinois Watercolor Society Member Shows. In 2018, his work was accepted into the prestigious International Watercolor Show hosted by the San Diego Watercolor Society. He is also a proud Signature Member of the Illinois Watercolor Society.
Bond describes his style as “realistic contemporary with an occasional abstract slant.” His goal is to create art that captures realistic scenes while drawing viewers in with subtle stylistic nuances. His favorite subjects include urban-scapes, rural landscapes, and abstract compositions—each one offering a fresh perspective on everyday beauty.
Coliseum Museum of Art, Antiques & Americana (CMAAA) gallery hours are Wednesdays-Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
