Hailed as “the preeminent modern dance organization of our time,” the group is celebrated for its musicality, technical mastery, and emotional depth. Accompanied by the MMDG Music Ensemble, known for their live performances, this experience promises to be a breathtaking fusion of movement and music.
Founded in 1980, the Mark Morris Dance Group has captivated audiences around the world and now brings their innovative choreography and engaging community programs to Southern Illinois. The live ensemble will perform a range of works, from 17th-century masterpieces to contemporary compositions, ensuring a rich and diverse artistic experience.
