The Great American Popcorn Company was opened in 1994 by Dave Lewis and his wife, Cathie. The shop resides in historic Galena, Illinois and features an average of 50 different flavors of popcorn on a daily basis. Flavors range from Old Fashioned Caramel to Spicy Italian, and the Lewis’ have created over 350 flavors since opening the store. The company takes pride in the quality of their popcorn and makes only small batches of a single flavor at a time, so the popcorn is always fresh and unique. The store also offers homemade fudge, candy, and chocolate.
